gonna talk about what's happening on tuesday really, during the leader's meeting @ JW. I would say i'm glad that I was there because it really made me discover something different about myself.
somehow a change was defined in me ever since the sun after Jeff was praying for me during altar call.
1. i no longer felt the fear of having to usher alone, if without any other ushers around (the confidence just came and it's simply amazing of course i was still praying for more help!!)
2. i found myself smiling no matter how hard things were when talking to the congregation, getting people to move when zone was STRICTLY not opened (bless those ppl), ushering under stress. (the HS was definitely there to make the peeps understand the situation and they had been nice to me as well!)
3. i found myself as well less lazy in really counting the peeps sitting at the overflow staircases and the +1 and 2s in each row. LOL..
4. i totally enjoy what I was doing as an usher, being to serve and lead at the same time!!
5. i felt so blessed as well when fellow ushers would ask if I needed help! (thank God for sending them)
6. i find myself in the area whereby i'm giving and receiving at the same time, and how much of those ain't important anymore because the focus is not onto them, is onto God and the people i'm giving to!
7. Daddy God is just so great!
Conclusion: I just love ushering for GOD!
Roy came up to me on the same day, asking if I could take a break from ushering for one day coz he just see me serving everytime he sees me! (i think ronaldo, phoebe, maria and jing wei will think the same as well) LOL.
Haha.. Roy, if you are reading this, i hope i had somehow answered why i love serving so much and God really changed my life through ministry. My deepest trench and pit, was experienced in this ministry and God showed me His grace the most in this ministry as well. It's like the 2nd spiritual family apart from CG to me. Though I'm still building on the r/s in the ministry and learning, i never regretted stepping into this place and can say it's the calling for me as of now!
You know something? I'm super blessed whenever you play the guitar that symphonises the heavens, sharing testimonies that rocks the place, fervency to make friends and strike conversations with ppl which shocks the souls of man, and singing that brings down the heavens onto earth. All those rocks!
I pray that one day, someone or a group will be like me in this case, be blessed with the way I usher, making them feel welcome with my greetings and smiles that totally melts down even the thickest ice, the gestures that totally exhibits the love of God so sacrificially, and bringing order to the House of God that everyone will enjoy the whole atmosphere during service or meetings!
All by exercising the talents God has given me and He had given you!
Of course ushering can make someone very technical and very SOP (by impression to most ppl) but God had taught me as well that :
ushering + me = usher, man's way but
ushering + me + God = usher, God's way
I ever shared with Phoebe when she asked me why I don't help out as much for CG. Haha reason being what I can do in CG I can do the same in ministry, raising up leaders, discipling, meeting the needs, serving etc.
It's to me, meeting the needs of the body of Christ, just that we are serving in different arenas. =)
However in CG, I'm taking on a much more supportive role, not so much of a leadership role in terms of befriending, bringing friends or even doing technical stuff like lyrics! Hopefully by taking on this role as well, I'm well better to support the CG and move along with it!
In any case, I PROMISE I PROMISE!!! This Sat I'll go out with the CG for fellowship after svc kk? I'll make myself available for that unless something last minute crops up.. (oops!) and more fellowships to follow!
I'll still want my roots to grow into the cg, into the lives of the members as well coz you guys are simply amazing to be standing together on the frontiers of the House of God with!
anyway i hope for those reading this post, got anything to share do flood my cbox! comments and responses totally welcome!
